Awakening wasn't too hot so I think they'd be better off remaking an older game for an FE14. Or just ditch the whole Chrom scene and find some new ideas.
I'd like to see a remake of FE4 or FE6. FE4 is a bit hard to follow along with and I think if they redid it better then it would be a bit more enjoyable. It has some cool concepts to it and the story is okay but a remake would definitely be better.
FE6 just because that game seriously needs some work but I think if they redid it, then it would potentially sell pretty well. Not everyone probably knew too much about FE6 other than Roy because of Smash, and FE6's plotline was pretty interesting so it would be cool to see how exactly that worked out.
If they did do a remake of FE6, I would like to see a fixed RNG and slightly more developed characters. The translation patch was a little weak with giving some of the characters good personalities and support conversations. Plus, if they want to reuse the idea of a bunch of kids fighting a war and not being too good even after they grow a bit. Definitely need some work on the kids.
