    Cardcaptor Sakura

Post by Elsa on December 13th 2013, 6:36 pm

Cardcaptor Sakura is (according to TV Tropes) one of the most influential and biggest magical girl series, right next to Sailor Moon. Of course, the dub ruined a lot of the stuff in it, but that's beside the point. The show's about a girl named Sakura Kinomoto who one day accidentally activates a Clow Card, a card made by some guy named Clow (how obvious), and releases all of them in her city, Tokyo. (At least, I'm pretty sure that's where it's set.) She also awakens the creature guarding the Clow Cards, Kerberos, Beast of the Seal, and because she released them, he makes her a Cardcaptor, in which her duty is to capture the Clow Cards before they can cause damage. There are three seasons, all adding up to 70 episodes. As Sakura collects the cards, her friend Tomoyo Daidouji, and later (somewhat spoilers) Shaoran Li and his cousin, Meilin Li.

So, has anyone (besides PZ) seen this, and what are your thoughts if so? And if not, go do it. :3

As for me, I haven't watched the full thing, but what I've seen is pretty good. While the plot is rather slow, I'm used to it from Sailor Moon, plus, there's usually been a little bit every few episodes, and I'm sure the plot will be bumped up by the end of Season 2.
